Sacred Stories from The Global Church: Grace Van Vorst Vacation Bible School - 8/26/16

Jan grew up in the former Czechoslovakia. Because Czechoslovakia was a communist country, Jan’s family kept their faith and membership at a Christian Church kind of quiet. Even so, as a child Jan was part of a Christian choir which led him to travel with a choir to Serbia as an adult. Jan was so moved by seeing the plight of Serbian refugees he met there that stayed and helped them for ten years. The best part is that PSE&G paid for 70% of the cost of the project, with the remainder added interest-free to our bill over the next three years. With the savings in usage, the overall cost is close to zero for the Church. Our ongoing challenge with the sewer line and the downstairs bathrooms we hope are now solv

Notes From Rev. Laurie - 08/05/16

I hope you will or have taken some time for rest and fun this summer too. If you are around during the third week of August I hope you’ll spend as much time as you can with your Grace Church family. Our brothers Sean and Victor will be visiting with us from the Episcopal Diocese of Panama, there will be evening Vacation Bible School Monday through Friday for kids and adults, a cook out at Rosemary’s and my house and a Latin American themed farewell party the night before Victor and Sean go home.
