Grace Community Services
Grace Community Services (GCS) promotes respect for human dignity for people whose chances of a promising future are diminished by isolation and food and housing insecurity. We do this by mobilizing hundreds of volunteers to effect change in people's lives.
GCS operates The Senior Center for Healthy Living every weekday and the Breakfast Plus program every weekend morning to:
• Provide a safe space where people who are unemployed and under-employed, homeless, elderly and isolated find community, opportunities for engagement, advocacy, health and wellness programming and direction
• Fill gaps by providing nutritious meals for those suffering from food insecurity
• Promote healthy aging and help people maintain or establish independent living
• Educate the broader community about hunger, homelessness and the needs of isolated seniors in Jersey City and Hudson County
• Provide opportunities for everyone to experience self-worth by sharing the privilege of service.

Breaking Bread Together
Do you want to get to know the people of Grace better but aren't quite sure how? Breaking Bread Together is for you! BBT groups are intimate groups of a few Grace folks/families who meet once a month at each other’s houses for a meal. Every year the groups are re-arranged so that over the course of time you come to know a lot of members of Grace very well. Want to practice loving your neighbor? This is your chance! If you’d like to learn more or get connected to a BBT Group please contact Bayla Kalstrom: email@example.com
Grace Church has prayer groups that meet throughout the community. These groups are a great opportunity to get to know some people in the community a little bit better and to receive prayer for the things that are closest to your heart. Are you up to having your faith challenged by the Bible itself? Then you don’t want to miss FBB when we start reading Ecclesiastes in September. One of the Wisdom books at the end of the Old Testament, Ecclesiastes’ focus is how to live in a crazy world without going crazy.
Friday Breakfast and Bible Study is a time to reflect, argue with and delight in Scripture, have conversations about things that matter and make new friends. Why not check it out? First cup of coffee is on us!
Please note: Breakfast & Bible Study is on a small hiatus until September 6th.

Grace has a vibrant and diverse music ministry. The repertoire ranges from traditional hymnody to gospel, and from global music to praise and worship.
No audition is required to join the music ministry. If you have a love of singing or playing, you are welcome to share your gifts.
We rehearse on Tuesday nights from 7-8:30 pm, and then right before the 11 am service, from 10:15-10:50. We are always looking for more singers from every voice type, and for instruments of all kinds.
Grace's Children's Choir is open to children ages 4-16 or for the young at heart. This choir sings about once a month at the
11 am service. We rehearse on occasional Saturday mornings from 10-11 am. No audition is required.
Santa Maria Guild & Handiworks Ministry
The Santa Maria Guild is a welcoming group of knitters, crocheters, quilters, and those who wish to learn these skills, using our hands to prayerfully create shawls, lap robes, quilts, scarves, whatever it is that will provide comfort, warmth and a sense of loving community for those who can benefit from them. We meet every other Saturday at 1:30 PM in the church rectory. The first half hour of each meeting is spent praying for those on our prayer list, then we move into the Handiworks part of the meeting. All are welcome to come to either one or both activities. Please contact Jane Jackson at email@example.com or 201-339-0868 for future meeting dates and further information.
